ACHARYAHRUDAYAM

Azhagiya Manavala Perumal Nayanar one of the greatest Acharyas of Vaishnava lineage. He is the younger son of Vadakku Thiruveedhi Pillai a disciple of Sri Nampillai. He is also the younger brother of Sri Pillai Lokacharya. He has written a treatise called Acharya Hrdayam. In this treatise he has captured the emotional ecstasy of Nammazhvar when he recited Thiruvaimozhi. This treatise reveals how the Azhwars devotion encompassed the devotion of Rishis.
